The Rotary Club of Torino Dora, SAGAT Torino Airport, the Council for Disadvantaged People and the San Marco-Rolfi company have reached an agreement for the launch of a transport service for disabled people to and from the airport and the city of Turin for a nominal fee.
It is currently possible for municipalities within the metropolitan area to take advantage of the service; whereas the extension of the service to other municipalities of the Province of Turin is in its final development stages.
The service is provided by means of a Citroën Jumper vehicle equipped to transport three disabled people in wheelchairs and four disabled people able to walk, with the assistance of specially-trained voluntary personnel from the association of the Council for Disadvantaged people.
The vehicle is located outside the airport building (Arrival level, just in front of the First Aid office) in a specially-reserved area easily accessible to disabled users.
Disabled passengers wishing to use the new service should call +39 011/3198145 - extension 4, provided by “Rete 119”, an integrated service intended for disadvantaged citizens in Turin and the greater Turin area.
Please contact the above-mentioned number from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm.
To facilitate the organisation of the service, passengers are kindly requested to contact the contact center at least 48 hours in advance.
