Compulsory training course for airport operators who need unescorted access to security restricted areas and operate vehicles/vehicles. It includes Aerodrome Safety training.
The course is face-to-face and includes theoretical training, practical training and initial competency assessment and subsequent periodic proficiency checks. The course must be successfully completed in order to obtain an ADP-Airside Driving Permit.
There are four types of driving permits: ADP- Perimeter Road, ADP- Apron and Perimeter Road, ADP-Airside Driving Permit without Autonomous Access and ADP-Airside Driving Permit with Autonomous Access.

The training is structured as follows:
ADP-Perimeter Course
- Aerodrome Safety online course with in-person examination
- 4 hours ADP-Apron and Perimeter course, theoretical training with written test
- 2 hours ADP-Trada Perimetrale course, practical training

ADP-Apron and Perimeter
- Aerodrome Safety online course with in-person examination
- 4 hours ADP-Apron and Perimeter course, theoretical training with written test
- 4 hours ADP-Apron and Perimeter course, practical training
- Assessment of competences (assessment)
ADP-Apron without autonomous access
- Aerodrome Safety online course with in-person examination
- 8 hours ADP-Manoeuvre Area course, theoretical training with written test
- 4 hours ADP-Manoeuvre Area course without autonomous access, practical training
- Assessment of skills (assessment)
ADP-Manoeuvre area with autonomous access
- Aerodrome Safety online course with in-person examination
- 8 hours ADP-Manoeuvre Area course, theoretical training with written test
- 4 hours ADP-Manoeuvre Area course without autonomous access, practical training
- Assessment of skills (assessment) and issue of ADP-Manoeuvring Area without autonomous access
- 5 shifts with SAGAT instructor, practical training
- Assessment of skills (assessment) and issue of ADP-Manoeuvre area with autonomous access
If the skills acquired are practised regularly, the licence is valid for 2 years, after which the e-learning recurrent training module must be completed.
In the event of interruptions of work at the airport of more than 3 months, the refresher training module must be completed before driving airside again.
Note: For ADP Manoeuvring Area with autonomous access, in the event of absences of more than 3 months, it is necessary to pass the proficiency check before being allowed to drive in the manoeuvring area again.
