Compulsory training course for airport operators requiring unescorted access to security restricted areas - Category A13 (initial/recurrent).
The course must be successfully completed in order to obtain an Airport Admit Card (TIA), i.e. before being allowed unescorted access to security restricted areas.
The course provides the basics of aviation security, so that airport operators are aware of the need to apply the required security measures and understand their own responsibilities and those of the various entities/companies operating within the airport, working together to prevent acts of unlawful interference, as required by Reg. (EU) 1998/2015, para. 11.2.6.
If the acquired security skills are exercised regularly, the certificate is valid for 5 years at all Italian airports, after which the recurrent training module must be completed. In the event of an interruption of work at the airport of more than 6 months, the recurrent training module must be completed before being able to enter the airside unescorted again.
Initial course duration: 3 hours
Recurrent training duration: 2 hours
Method of delivery: e-learning
A final evaluation test is required to pass the course.
